Here is that awkward part of the website where I get financially naked for the world to see. Below you’ll see my real-life net worth tracked (roughly) quarter by quarter.
Well for one, monthly is a little too subject to tiny market swings for my tastes. And what I really mean by that, is I’ve been too lazy to track my net worth any more frequently up to this point.
Anyway, without further ado I’d like to present…
The Money Wizard’s (not completely) Complete Net Worth History:
- January 2015: $81,619
- June 2015: $96,284
- November 2015: $104,918 (WOO HOO! 6 digit club!)
- March 2016: $117,228
- April 2016: $127,259 (First official monthly update!)
- May 2016: $133,329
- June 2016: $135,709
- July 2016: $144,338
- August 2016: $147,913
- September 2016: $149,844
- October 2016: $147,122
- November 2016: $141, 726
- December 2016: $150,656
- January 2017: $158,000
- February 2017: $166,111
- March 2017: $170,493
Every time I look at those numbers, I’m surprised how fast the stack has grown. The power of a 65% savings rate never ceases to amaze me.
Although quarterly monitoring allows me to use financial jargon like “Q1 Net Worth Report” in an attempt to sound fancy, excuse time is over. Now that this blog is up and running, I’ve got a group of awesome readers (I’m talking to you!) to hold me accountable.
In other words, I’ll be tracking this number more frequently. Stay tuned for in depth net worth reports, where I’ll be exposing every nitty, gritty, and not always pretty detail. Yes, I’ve kept that nude metaphor rolling all the way down the page.
